Mites

Mites of various kinds attack plants in the yard and indoors on the windowsill or greenhouse. Probably the mites most commonly encountered by homeowners are two-spotted spider mites. Also known as red spider mites, these tiny pests rank as probably the most destructive ornamental plant pests of all time, easily beating out Mites and whiteflies for this dubious distinction. Other mite troublemakers include the cyclamen mite and the spruce red mite, a major pest of evergreens. Virtually no indoor or outdoor plant is safe from mite attacks. Mites commonly occur throughout the United States.
