Using Baby's Breath

Pink flowers go with silver or gray leaved plants such as lamb’s ears and artemisias well. Dainty but hardy thru really cold winters. Great cover up for dying bulb foliage.

Drying: Air-drying baby’s breath is easy. Pick stems when flowers have just reached peak. Strip off leaves to dry large amounts fasten several together with a rubber band, tape or wire. Hang bunches upside down in a warm, dry room that is ventilated such as the attic or large closet. To dry a few stems just place them upright in vase with no water and let them dry out over time. When stems become brittle and break easily they are dry. Handle with care to prevent breakage. Can be dyed or sprayed colors for flower crafts and seasonal arrangements. Spray with hairspray to keep from getting too brittle and shattering. For more information see Drying Flowers and Flower Drying Supplies
