Spring
This is the time to renew the mulch under your shrubs. Keep about 2 to 3 inches of organic mulch under all your shrubs all year round.
Summer
These shrubs bloom on the previous year’s growth. After flowering, cut flowering stems back to strong buds, main stems or basal growth as required to shape the plant. Remove one-third of the old growth on established plants at ground level to encourage new growth.
