Planting Deutzia

Plant Deutzia preferably in the spring. Will grow in zones: 4–9. Deutzias grow best in full sun. They will tolerate light shade, but will not bear as many flowers. The soil should be of average to high fertility, moist and well drained. These plants are pH adaptable. Deutzias are quite frost hardy. If you live in a colder area than is generally recommended for these plants, try growing them in a sheltered spot where they will be protected from the worst extremes of weather.
