Using Bald Cypress

Bald Cypress is particularly attractive planted in groups or groves. Because they like boggy soil they are excellent near ponds, in low or floodplain areas or near water features on property. A single Bald Cypress planted in the middle of a large lawn commands attention as a specimen. Because of their open, airy foliage these trees cannot be counted upon to cast much shade. For the adventurous, Bald Cypress can be clipped into a formal hedge, creating a wonderful soft screen.
