Landscaping For Starlings

Okay, okay, maybe worrying about plants for attracting starlings is a little bit more than going off the edge; but hey, they are here already, so let’s keep everyone happy. Chances are your yard is already attractive to starlings. If it is typical, the soil under your lawn is populated with lots of beetle grubs and other insects that plague turfgrasses if they are stressed by growing in compacted, thin soil. If you plant lots of different types of plants in the yard, no doubt among them will be fruit or seed bearing ones that starlings love to visit:
