Choosing Parsley

Some curly-leaved varieties to grow include
‘Green River’ is disease-resistant with very curly leaves.
‘Decora’ is heat tolerant.
‘Exotica’ and ‘Bravour’ are cold tolerant.
‘Curlina’ has a globular growth habit and is great for containers.

Some flat-leaved varieties include:
‘Italian’ is a tall-growing traditional favorite.
‘Gigante Italian’ & ‘Plain Italian’ have celery-like stalks and large leaves.

Some unusual varieties are:
‘Hamburg’ is a German type, also called “root parsley”, it has thick, white roots that are used like parsnips or turnips.
‘Mitsuba’ is a parsley relative from Japan, is good for soups and stews.
