Solutions Using Insecticide

Natural Insecticides for Cabbageworm

Bacillus thuringiensis (BT) are bacteria that kill only leaf-eating caterpillars, including imported cabbage worms. Dust or spray all parts of the leaves, especially the undersides, and dust again after rains, or make a BT foliar spray and apply it to infested plants every 10 to 14 days until the pest is removed. For more information see How To Use Bt and Available Bt Products

Synthetic Insecticides for Cabbageworm

An effective control for cabbage worms is a pyrethroid type product. Go to Yardener's Tool Shed to check out Bonide\'s Eight made with permethrin.
