Bacillus Thuringiensis (BT) - BT are bacteria that come in powder form (used as a dust or a foliar spray) and kill only leaf-eating caterpillars. However, there is a new metabolite form of BT that achieves excellent control of the Colorado potato beetle when the beetle is in its larval stage.

Neem Based Insecticides – Insecticides using Neem oil as a base will kill Colorado Potato Beetles.

Pyrethrin Insecticides – Insecticides with the active ingredient being pyrethrin will kill these beetles. Usually two applications of pyrethrum, applied 3 to 4 days apart, will control the beetles.
