Control With Light Horticultural Oil
If you have noticed the Mexican bean beetle’s presence early enough to have spotted the eggs and the larvae on the underside of some leaves then light horticultural oil will kill the critter at that stage in life. The problem of course is that the target is on the underside of the leaf making it very hard to make direct contact which is the only way this insecticide will work; it must be sprayed directly on the eggs and larvae to smother and kill them.
