Control Weevils Using No Insecticides

Handpicking

Knock weevils from trees or shrubs using a padded stick, and let them fall on a sheet spread below. Gather and destroy the weevils. Collect infested fruit, especially early drops.

Using A Sticky Barrier

Many species of weevil will chomp on leaves of the tree or shrub at night and then a little before day break they will climb down the trunk and hide under some kind of debris on the soil during day light.

If this is the case with your weevils you can thwart them easily by putting a sticky barrier around the trunk during the day. Then that night your weevils are going to either get stuck on the sticky material and die or move on to another tree or shrub. Go to the Sticky Barrier Section in Yardener's Tool Shed.
