Compost Tea Starter by Organica
Compost Tea Starter by Organica is designed to take the guesswork out of preparing activated teas. Note – This product is technically a “microbial tea” rather than a “compost tea”. There is no compost in this product, but the term “Compost Tea” has become synonymous with “Activated Tea”
Organica compost tea starter is a fermentation derived microbial package, which has been formulated specifically for compost tea brewers. It is designed to take the guesswork out of preparing compost teas for turf, ornamental and agricultural operations. Organica incorporates a variety of beneficial soil bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi into this starter package thereby providing you with a known, quantifiable end product. In addition to the biological component the formulation also provides your tea with the proper carbon to nitrogen ratio, amino acid profile, and nutrient package to expedite microbial growth and stability.
Independent studies have shown that properly prepared compost teas have the ability to suppress soil borne and foliar pathogens in addition to drastically improving crop yield.
Organica Compost Tea Starter provides you with a biologically diverse package, which ensures the production of a consistent tea time after time by putting years of scientific research behind it!

Direction for Use / Compost Tea Application Rates
Add eight ounces of Compost Tea Starter per 20 gallons of tank capacity. Allow mixture to brew for 48 hours. Provide as much aeration as possible and keep system temperature between 50-100 degrees F. Apply finished product to soil and foliage at the rate of 32-48 oz per 1000 sq. ft/11-16 gallons per acre. Use higher rate on plants prone to disease or when environmental conditions are conducive to disease outbreaks. Compost Tea concentrate may be diluted in a sufficient volume of water to achieve desired coverage. If you are using compost tea formulation primarily for foliar disease suppression be sure to thoroughly soak all foliage until point of runoff. Adding 1-2 quarts of feed grade molasses per acre (for foliar applications) will help compost tea mixture adhere to leaf surface and provide an addtional food source for beneficial microbial species! Apply at 4-6 week intervals depending upon environmental conditions and disease pressure. Use clean fresh water and avoid using a water source high in chlorine and fluorine.
