Arborvitae Trees Have White Spots All Over Trunks And Are Dying

Question From: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States
Q: We are losing arborvidea, one at a time. I have noticed that the trunks of the diseases trees have white spots all over them, similar to dashes of bird feces...flat, not regular, but the neighbor trees are developing white spots now.

A: You should get an onsite inspection from a certified arborist, a trained tree doctor. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org. Best, Nancy
