Question From: m. neubauer - Independence, Missouri, United States
Q: arbor vitae pines planted late spring all but one turned brown after a week of very high temp in area. still green inside trunk. will they come back. what to do

A: I don't have a crystal ball, but deep watering a couple times a week would be the prescription. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy

Q: will all the brown fall off and be replaced by green. Does that happen in the fall and winter and then come back green or do I cut off the brown. They are such an eyesore. I have been watering them more for 2 months and still rust brown.

A: If they have lost most of their needles or they have turned brown, they are probably dying. Take photos to the place you purchased them for advice. As I said before, I do not have a crystal ball. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
