Boxwood Does Not Grow Well Where Planted

Q: My boxwood has not look good for years. One dies back and the gardner replaces the plant with new This process is ongoing . What can be the problem?

A: These plants do not like living where you are planting them. It happens. Get a soil test, Are they getting enough sun? They look like they are in need of water. If you spray herbicides they may be getting hit by the drift. These are my best guesses. I'd find other options. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
