Can Clematis Be Transplanted In Summer Heat

Question From: NORTH CAROLINA
Q: Will my climatis vine survive if I plant it now in the month of July? ?

A: I would not transplant in the heat of summer. I prefer to wait until the weather cools down. Potted plants can be planted but I would water them daily for the first week and then every two or three days until you see new growth. Do not fertilize when the temps rise into the eighties.
