Q: Do established lilacs need fertilizer and/or lime? I live in the Pacific Northwest.
A: Where I lived in Southeasten MI, in the country there are old fashioned lilacs that have survived for a hundred years without fertilizer. That said, a soil test will tell you if it will provide what the plant needs. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
