Question From: C. Quinlan - Grosse Pointe, Michigan, United States
Q: Hi, I had a very overgrown hedge, which I pruned by half, leaving it about 5 feet. After this harsh winter all I have is a hedge of wood! Is it lost? Should I prune it to six inches, or what would you suggest? Thanks for any help!
A: Cheryl, It always helps to give the kind of plant you are talking about. If it shows no sign of green by now it's toast. Heavy pruning can kill an evergreen. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
