Question From: El Dorado, Arkansas, United States
Q: I have at least 3 types of Hollies. One that I'm told is a Chinese "Weeping" Yaupon, although I don't think it weeps, several tall bushes where the leaves have just 1 sharp point, and a couple that have 6 or more points on each side of the leaves. I have no idea of the proper care or the proper names of these plants. Can you help? Thanks.
A: Hollies are popular for use in Arkansas and there are dozens of varieties available. Take stem cutting of the three varieties to a local independent nursery or garden center that sells landscape plants for an accurate ID and recommendations of care in your area. Soils and climate vary throughout the US, so you need to get local advice. Best and Happy Yardening, Nancy
