Question From: M. Bolton - MICHIGAN
Q: Help frost is coming and I have three hardy hibiscus in pots that were beautiful. How do I over winter them here in Detroit?
A: You can move them to a protected area such as the north side of your house. Leave them in the pots or take them out and bury them in the ground. If you leave them in the pots be sure the soil remains moist. A shovel full of snow or some ice cubes now and then works well. These plants emerge late in the season - early June, so don't count them out when they are not showing in spring. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
