How To Remove Mites From Rosemary

Question From: CALIFORNIA
Q: How can I free my rosemary of mites. The leaves are 50% yellow over all.

A:

Sherry, Begin by spraying your rosemary with a heavy stream of water making sure to hit the undersides of all the needles. Let it dry. Here's a home brew some pot growers swear by. 1/4 cup Baking Soda 1/2 cup Apple Cider vinegar 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice 2 drops dish detergent 1/4 Teaspoon Epsom Salts Take a cup of very hot water and desolve the epsom salts, take rest of ingredients and place in a clean 2 liter bottle and let work out. Add epsom solution. Add water to fill to 48ozs(3/4 full).Shake well. When spraying be sure to hit the undersides of the leaves. Commercial sprays that also work include Monterrey 70 percent Neem and Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew. Both are safe for use on edibles. One secret to getting rid of spider mites is patience. You need to continue use of these products for several weeks, at seven day intervals. Good Luck and Happy Yardening, Nancy
