Impatiens Stems Look Like They Have Been Cut

Question From: Murphy, North Carolina, United States
Q: my inpatients looks like the stems have been cut into I see no bugs or worms on the plants?

A: My guess is your impatiens have cut worms. They are rather ugly gray worms that are in a curled position. Take samples of the damage to your independent garden center or nursery for an accurate ID and control. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
