Katsura Tree Has Split In Bark

Question From: J. Hisey - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: We didn't know to wrap our Katsura tree as your article said to do, and now it has a large split in the bark. Is there anything we can do now to prevent any more damage to our 2-year-old tree?

A: Let Mother Nature do her thing. Just be sure to keep the tree watered. Mulching with 3 inches of organic mulch will be helpful. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
