Marigolds Have Sparse Purplish Leaves

Question From: T. Reno - Mercer, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: Hi Nancy, I planted some mairgold's about 10 days ago. the leaves are sparse and look purplish instead of green and full like they were when I purchased them. what should I do to help them along?

A: If the plants weren't hardened off and there are fertilizers in your potting soil and you added extra, they are damaged and in shock. Keep them watered and they should begin to turn around in a couple of weeks. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
