Mountain Ash Tree Is Very Bare After Winter

Question From: B. smyth - Golconda, Illinois, United States
Q: My mountain ash tree is very bare, have it about 3 yrs. When should it blossom? It does'nt seem to be dying.

Mountain Ash trees are vulnerable to winter damage. Keep you tree watered and mulch with an organic material to a depth of 3 to 4 inches. It should bloom somewhere between late spring and early summer. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
