Question From: Wellington, Colorado, United States
Q: Our ornamental pear tree's top leaves are turning yellow and looking dead and the whole tree is covered with wasps. What would be the treatment?
The wasps are probably going after honey dew given off by insects. The wasps will not hurt the tree. Take samples of the dying leaves and a small branch to a local garden center or nursery that sells these trees for an accurate ID and recommended control. Best, Nancy.
