Patches Of Lawn Have Turned White About Half Way Up Stem

Question From: L. Muse - Oxford, Ohio, United States
Q: My yard has patches where the grass has turned white about 1/2 way up the stem. It looks as though I have sprayed small patches white.

A: Your grass has a fungal disease called powdery mildew. Spray it with a product called Actinovate every 7 to 10 days. Do not water in the evenings. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
