Question From: Livonia, Michigan, United States
Q: I have everbearing red raspberries- 3 or 4 bushes. Something is causing small holes in the leaves-an insect? What can I do for this ?
A: In this heat I would ignore it. Any spraying would do more harm than good. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
Q: The holes in the leaves happened quite early in the season. What type of preventive could be done next year? Also we have some shrubs- variegated something, two inch green leaves with a white mark in some leaves. There are little white things on both sides of some of the leaves. It has killed part of the bush. We have a spraying service but I doubt that these were sprayed. I'd like to know what is causing both of these things for future prevention. Thanks!!
A: Take bagged samples of the little white things to your local English Gardens or Steinkopf Nursery for an accurate Id and recommendation for control. Also ask for a recommendation for your raspberry issues. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
