Sunpatiens Have White Bleached-Like Areas On Blooms

Question From: A. Seamans - Tallahassee, Florida, United States
Q: Sunpatiens have white, bleached-like areas on blooms. They are in full sun all day in the Florida heat. I have not fertilized them since purchasing them at Lowe's one week ago. I Water once daily. Why the bleached-like spots on otherwise healthy looking plant & blooms?

A: The spots may be burns from the fertilizer. Use a granular fertilizer according to the package directions. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
