Tomato Leaves Turned Yellow And Dropped

Question From: L. Dordeski - Livonia, Michigan, United States
Q: Last year my tomato plants were had some kind of disease. The leaves were turning yellow and falling off leaving just the stalk. What can I do to prevent this? Thank you! I love reading your column every weekend.

A: Lidia, Your tomato was suffering from a soil borne disease. I use a product called Actinovate, as a soil drench and also as spray according to package directions. Planting your tomats in a different part of the garden will also help. You can get Actinovate at English Gardens and online at Amazon. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
