Trailing Vinca Losing Leaves After Being Brought In For Winter

Question From: A. Brown - NORTH CAROLINA
Q: I have a trailing Vinca and am not sure how to care for it. I have it in a hanging basket inside the house now as the weather is getting cooler, 40 degrees or less at night. Some of the leaves are drying and falling off. Is this because it is in too warm an area, or not watered enough?

A:

Could be lack of water and the adjustment of coming inside. Many plants loose leaves when they first come indoors. It's recommended that plant be brought in when the night time temps fall to 50. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
