What Does Cold Hardy Mean For English Ivy

Question From: Middlefield, Ohio, United States
Q: When you say that English Ivy is cold hardy, do you mean with protection or without? I live in NE Ohio, zone 5, where it rarely goes below zero. We're usually in the teens and 20s. Hope to hear from you soon!

A: English Ivy (Hedra helix) is hardy to zone 4 so you should have no problem growing it in your area. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
