What Is Best Way To Plant Tomatoes In A Gro Bag

Question From: M. ZORMEIER - South Lyon, Michigan, United States
Q: What is the best way to plant tomatoes in a gro bag?

A: Maureen, If you are talking about the plastic bag full of the potting soil and compost, I would follow the directions. I have never used them so I can't give you any hot tips. For the fabric grow bags mix 2 parts potting soil with 1 part compost. Plant the tomato deep in the soil. Keep the soil moist at all times, but not soggy. I use Dynamite organic or tomato fertilizer when planting and foliar feed or soil drench with Neptune's Harvest Fish and Kelp fertilizer every 10 days or so. Never when the temps rise about 85 degrees. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
