When To Dig Calla Lillies Before The Winter

Question From: R. Hickman - MICHIGAN
Q: I've got 10 Calla Lilies of various sizes that still have tall, green, leaves. The hard frost of the last few weeks may have started curl in the leaves but they still look like they're growing. I know I need to dig them up for the winter but, like I said, they still look good, no wilting. If I dig them up now and cut off the green stalks, will that harm them? Or should I wait until the ground has frozen slightly to dig? Thanks.

A: You need to dig them now. What to do with them? I have no idea. Google how to overwinter Calla Lily bulbs in Michigan. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
