Question From: G. Donnelly - MICHIGAN
Q: I have been told my lawn has "dollar spot". It turns white in the winter but greens jup pretty good in the summer. I paid my lawn treatment company once to treat it but it did not remove it. Do you have a solution or have you ever heard of "dollar spot'?
A: Dollar spot is a common fungal disease of grasses. If the turf is badly infected, a single application of a fungicide will not eliminate it Because of the timing, I think it may have powdery mildew Take photos and samples to a good garden center better yet your county extension agent.
