Question From: K. Haines - MICHIGAN
Q: Can you explain why every year about this time I get toad stools in my lawn in the same area? The area gets plenty of sun.
A:
Wet compacted soil and lack of sun will do it. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
Q: Nancy you said that compacted soil and no sun will bring out the toad stools.Where they come up they get a lot of sun.I don't tramp on the grass.
A:
The spores are in the ground and they sprout when the soil stays wet and the sun is lower on the horizon and sets early. Lack of sun and damp soil. Do you mow your lawn? Over time it gets compacted. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
