Why Have My Daffodils Become Doubles

Question From: J. Novy - West Frankfort, Illinois, United States
Q: Why have my daffodils become doubles? Flowers are pretty but are all on the ground.

A: My guess and the answer to both your questions is the weather. A day or two of warm weather followed by freezing tempertures takes its toll on the plants. Daffs, that emerge early in spring are especially vulnerable. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
