Arborvitae Are Turning Brown On The Outside

Question From: T. Carlson - Smethport, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: My arborvaotae are older and well established. Up until this year anyway! They are turning brown on the outside and it's spreading. Can they be saved? I can send photos!

A: I can't answer your question Terry, there are too many issues that could be effecting your arbs. I recommend you get an onsite inspection from a professional - a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy

Comment: Thank you for your time Nancy. I will go to the local extension office after work today. Have a beautiful day! Sincerely, Terry
