Question From: Wilkinson, Indiana, United States
Q: I live in Indiana and have arborvitae trees along the back of my house. I had 3 at one time and one of them turned completely brown. I replaced it and the replacement turned completely brown. What is possibly wrong with the spot that I am planting it in. I would like to replace it again but afraid another may do the same thing. Do you have any suggestions as to what might be going on and what I might do before I plant another. The other 2 are beautiful and have had no problem with them.
Could be lack of water or too much water. Also the tree may not have been in good condition when you bought it. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
