Blushing Bride Hydrangea Are Only Producing A Couple Flowers Per Bush

Question From: Commerce Township, Michigan, United States
Q: Hi Nancy: I have three "Blushing Bride" Hydrangea plants that I have had since 2009. Every spring and fall, I fertilize with Holly Tone. The last couple of years, the plants are only producing two flowers per bush. Can you tell me why? Your articles have always been of interest to me especially about hydrangeas.

A: It's the weather and the location. If you can protect the tips of the stems over the winter they may produce blooms if not, it's a crap shoot. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
