Finding And Using Actinovate For Tomato Blight And Powdery Mildew

Question From: Rochester, Michigan, United States
Q: Nancy, thank you so much for your informative and entertaining lecture that you gave to our OPC Community Garden at our meeting on April 21st. There was so much positive feedback. My question: We have (21) garden plots that you suggested we use Actinovate-OMRI as a bio-fungicide to ward off tomato blight and powdery mildew. We are having Victor at OPC secure us the product from Uncle Luke's and the price was only $21.99. I hope that we are getting the correct product. On-line a seller had a similar product for over $100. Are we using the right one?

A: You have the right product. Tell Victor to do a soil drench when the soil temperature reaches 50 degrees. The $100 price tag was probably for a commercial size container. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
