Parsley Turning Yellow After Heat Wave

Question From: Danville, California, United States
Q: our parsley that's growing on the deck in a pot is turning turning yellow while the parsley in the garden in raised beds is still doing well. We did have a heat wave where the temperature went to into the high 90's to low 100's for over 5 days and that is when the problem started. We kept it well watered but it continues to look ghastly. What do you think might be the problem?

A: The potted parsley suffered a heat stroke. It may also have dried down. You may need to replace it. Move it to a more protected area when the heat arrives so it doesn't cook. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
