Small Ginkgo Tree Leaves Are Very Small

Question From: Ashland, Oregon, United States
Q: I have a small gingko tree (for two years now) and this year the leaves are still very tiny. Will they still grow, or is the tree missing some nourishment?

A: Trees feed themselves via photosynthesis. Water and sunlight are the big keys to success. Any chance the leaves or buds suffered from frost? Keep the tree well watered and be patient. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.

Comment: Dear Nancy, Thank you so much for your response; I am not sure if the leaves suffered from frost, as our winter here in Southern Oregon was not too bad. I think maybe the tree needs more water because the leaves are rolled up a bit. Thank you and have a wonderful Memorial Day, Erna
