Viburnum Leaf Beetle Solution

Question From: n. perchard - Southfield, Michigan, United States
Q: Hi Nancy, Re viburnam leaf beetle, I have been fighting it for about 3 years. I have found the best solution to be Bayer systemic granules, one year dosage (imidicloprid). Does not poison flowers and fruits according to research. The beetle is going after lantana, I believe common name Mohican. My arborist so also mentioned they are seeing activity of VBL on hydrangea, if you can believe that! Just thought you might find this helpful.

A: Thank for the heads up. I know about the Bayer. Problem is 1 - I go organic when I can and 2. Folks jump all over me when I mention a Nionic pesticide. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
