Great price, doesn't seem as effective as other brand

Great price, doesn't seem as effective as other brand
This product is almost 5 times cheaper than the Safer Garden Dust, the first product I tried (Safer $1.38/ounce vs. Southern Ag $0.28/ounce), but my impression is that it’s not as effective. I use these dusts to control green caterpillars on my Kale plants. With the Safer brand I often found the blackened remains of caterpillars on the underside of the kale leafs, meaning the dust killed the little suckers. With the Southern Ag product I find small green caterpillars that seem much less active but are still alive. This is obviously not a rigorous test, just my personal observation. Both products have similar BT percentages (Safer: 0.4365%, Southern: 0.45%). But since you get so much more with the Southern Ag product I used it heavily so I expected even better control of caterpillars which I did not experience. Tip for either product: Make your own shaker. The Safer dispenser cap is a pain, either too much or not enough. I drilled small holes in a plastic container and it works even better than the cheese shaker I purchased (see pic).
