Hose-end sprayers: A hose end sprayer attaches to your garden hose and dispenses concentrated fertilizer or pesticide so that it mixes with the water coming through the hose and out the nozzle. Though low in cost to buy, these sprayers have a heavy flow and tend to use up fertilizer or insecticide at a very fast rate, so they may actually be more expensive to use. However, they are an efficient way to "broadcast" the product on lawns or other large areas. Sprayers that have nozzles that can change the dilution ratio cost more, but are worth the price.
