Obedient Plant (False Dragonhead) (Physostegia virginiana)

This perennial will grow to 24 to 36 inches tall with a spread of 18 inches

Blooms in August thru October with pink, purple or white flowers with narrow green foliage

Grows in any soil in full sun or part shade.

Zones 2 – 8

Use in sunny or shady garden or in a woodland garden. Put in the middle of the bed. Gives good fresh cut flowers.

This plant is valuable for late bloom. It is adaptable to a variety of sites; tends to be invasive. On poor, dry soils it is shorter and on heavy soils it is less invasive.
