Planting Fringetree

Site Fringetrees in full sun or partial shade; ideally in full sun in the morning with some afternoon shade. Fringetree will do well in the filtered shade under large trees. They accept just about any soil type as long as it is rich in organic matter to hold moisture. They like damp soil and are ideal for stream banks, but they do just fine in drier spots if watered during droughts. Fringetrees are not crazy about being transplanted, so plant a young tree in early spring and try to make it the right place. For more information see the file on Planting A Tree
