Southern Catalpa

Southern Catalpa

Southern Catalpa (Catalpa bignonioides)
The Southern Catalpa loves hot summers and is extremely resistant to urban pollution. It is a fast growing, tough and durable tree. With similar leaves and flowers to the Northern version, this tree takes a few years to pass the awkward adolescent period to when it branches more freely and begins to dominate the landscape. The bean pods will often persist after the leaves fall in autumn.

Southern Catalpa Choices
