Trellis Netting

Trellis Netting™ by Gardeneer

Gardeneer’s heavy-duty nylon netting is ideal for growing tomatoes, peas, pole beans, cucumbers and all vine crops needing support to grow vertically. This netting has a 60 lb. breaking strength that will support extremely heavy crop loads. The mesh is 7inches allowing you to harvest on both sides of the netting while standing on just one side. The netting is 5 feet wide and comes in lengths of fifteen feet or thirty feet.

How Do I Use Trellis Netting?
This nylon netting can be attached to a trellis frame made of wood with staples from a staple gun. On a PVC pole it can be attached to hooks attached to the pole. While the netting is very strong, able to hold up to a 60 pound load, the method you use to connect the netting to the trellis structure will determine in the end how strong your system is.

How long will Gardeneer netting last?
Nylon trellis netting should last five or six years before it will need replacement because of breakdown by ultraviolet rays of the sun. Its life is extended if it is not left outside during the winter months.

How high should the bottom of the net be from the ground?
Typically the bottom is 1ft. to 2 ft. off the ground, which allows the top to be 6 to 7 ft. high. It is surprising how easy it is to get any vining plant to bridge even a 2 ft. span.
